Basmati Rice

India’s Basmati Legacy

This is no longer just about "rice"; it is about sensory luxury.

The 1121 Steam Basmati is the flagship of this movement. Unlike raw or parboiled rice, the steaming process involves a sophisticated hydrothermal treatment that ensures:

Nutrient Retention: Vitamins are locked into the grain during the steaming phase, enhancing the health benefits of our 1121 Steam Basmati.

Physical Integrity: The process makes the grain stronger, reducing breakage to almost zero (under 1%) during milling, which is crucial for premium rice quality.

XXLElongation: Grains typically measure 8.4mm+ uncooked and can expand to nearly 20mm when cooked, creating a visual masterpiece on the plate.

Lentils

India specializes in the export of Masoor Dal (Red Lentils), Urad (Black Gram), and Moong (Green Gram), which are highly sought after in international markets for their: Superior Protein Density: Indian lentils are a staple for the global vegan and plant-based protein movement. Non-GMO Quality: India’s commitment to traditional, non-genetically modified cultivation makes its lentils a premium choice for health-conscious consumers in Europe and North America. Culinary Versatility: From 'Red Lentil Footballs' (whole decorticated) to split varieties, Indian processing standards ensure the flavor and texture required for both traditional ethnic cuisines and modern food processing. Additionally, alongside Masoor Dal, India also exports quality products like 1121 Steam Basmati rice and Corn DDGS, further enhancing its reputation in the global market.

Whole Spices

India remains the undisputed "Spice Bowl of the World," contributing approximately 48% of the global spice trade in 2025. With exports reaching over 180 countries, the sector has hit record-breaking milestones.

The Global Benchmark for Quality

Indian whole spices are prized internationally for their high essential oil content, vibrant natural colors, and potent medicinal properties. The export market is currently driven by several key factors:

Dominant Commodities: Red Chilli remains the highest-valued export, followed closely by Cumin, Turmeric, and Black Pepper. In late 2025, niche spices like Ginger and Small Cardamom have seen a massive surge in demand, with export volumes growing by over 80% year-on-year. Additionally, products like 1121 Steam Basmati rice are also gaining traction in global markets, highlighting the diversity of Indian exports.

Health & Wellness Trends: There is a global explosion in demand for whole spices as "functional foods." International buyers in the USA and Europe are increasingly sourcing Indian Turmeric (for curcumin) and Ginger for their anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting benefits. Moreover, ingredients such as Corn DDGS and Masoor Dal are becoming popular due to their nutritional value and versatility in various cuisines.

Traceability and Purity: Modern Indian exporters are now prioritizing "Clean Label" and organic certifications (ISO, HACCP, FSSAI). Advanced processing at India’s 8 major Spice Parks ensures that whole spices are free from contaminants, meeting the rigid safety standards of the global markets.

Corn DDGS/ Cattle Feed

As India’s ethanol sector reaches new heights in 2025, Corn DDGS (Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles) has evolved from a simple byproduct into a high-value global commodity. For Atlas International, exporting Corn DDGS represents a strategic opportunity to provide the global livestock industry with a sustainable, protein-rich feed alternative. Additionally, products like 1121 Steam Basmati and Masoor Dal highlight the diverse agricultural landscape of India.

What is Corn DDGS?

Corn DDGS is the nutrient-dense residue left after the starch from maize is fermented to produce ethanol. While the starch is converted into fuel, the remaining protein, fiber, and oil are concentrated, resulting in a feed ingredient that is far more nutritionally dense than the original grain.
